In a world full of “stuff,” I create things that last, that continue to hold meaning long after they are put back on the shelf.

I write things that speak directly to the heart. I’ve always been an open-hearted human, and I work on projects that celebrate the compassion and connection we have with each other.

Writer. Collaborator. Joy-Spreader.

I make gift books, guided journals, and children’s books that leave legacies.

Creator at Heart.

I genuinely enjoy the creative process from a collaborative approach, where we are equal partners in creating something unique and powerful.

I knew all along that writing was my place to be. I’ve been steeped in writing and publishing ever since I graduated from the University of Puget Sound and received my post-grad certification at the University of Denver’s Publishing Institute. Before I started writing full-time, I worked in publishing houses for several years, so I have a deep understanding of how publishing works.

Today, I write books that inspire and partner with people in making their creative ideas come to life. I’m currently looking for agent representation and writing secret projects close to my heart.

Working with Me

“Miriam is a great communicator, a dynamic problem solver, thoughtful listener, warm storyteller, as smart as a whip, and has a joyful personality that is down-right contagious.” – Mary C., client

“Miriam slows down and really listens, because she has a genuine interest in the people and businesses she's working with. She also knows how to write well for the web while maintaining an artistic vision and holding a story, which is a rare combination.” – Kristen R., client

“You're a joyful and warm writer who is (ssssh) my favorite person to edit. Not purely because of your way with words (which is splendidly wonderful) but because of your incredible way of making even the dullest projects fun (so. many. laughs.) and because of your curiosity and openness to the editing process.” – Respectfully remained anonymous

“One of Miriam’s best qualities is her deep compassion. She is able (and willing) to step into someone else’s shoes from all walks of life. This is a rare and powerful quality, and it makes her especially capable when writing either for a specific brand or audience. I can always trust that she has looked at her work from every angle to ensure it’s hitting the right note and offers the most emotional space for the reader.” – Amelia R., editor
